Blessing of Inconsistency

Since my boys were babies, I've cried to God to help me be consistent.  However, I see my strengths as vision, ability to see connections and linkages and flexibility.  Reconcilable differences?

Honestly, times of inconsistency have been some of the most successful  in my life. (If the stress doesn't kill me first.)

These encouraging words scribbled on a scrap of paper in a book gave me hope!

 "I have never met a great man who wasn’t inconsistent."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

What I REALLY want for my life:

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
 to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
